In preparation for our next workshop at the H.P. Rawlings Conservatory, Claire and I (and some helpers) have been testing out eco-printing. This will be our next technique that we teach. The process requires leaf material, berries, and flowers rolled tightly around a pipe and secured into a bundle. Then this whole lot is steamed for an hour to three. Waiting a day or a week is sometimes helpful to let the colors really set in. This is the first one we unraveled.
We are so excited to try this out with our workshop participants next week and see all the wonderful products made!
With love & beauty,
